Typing out important documents on your mobile phone is definitely not a pleasant job as you can guess it is much slower than doing it on a PC. Still, it's very important to have a way of accessing text documents on the go and providing an edit. Let's check out what Microsoft has to offer!
The first impression of the Microsoft Word app for Android is that its design is very clean and modern. It's integrated with OneDrive and you can easily sync and share documents using this cloud service. Documents can be read in a normal view or a mobile view which focuses on the actual text.
Editing and creating a document is fairly easy. By default, you can see your keyboard and various text editing buttons from the Home section in the menu bar. It includes all the basic editing features from the desktop version, like bold, italic, underline, highlight, text color, creating a list, etc.
Clicking the arrow to the right replaces the keyboard with the extended view of these features and an option to switch between different sections. Everything is pretty much there! You can easily change the format of your text, browse between different fonts, and organize the text in lists and tables.
You can easily add pictures, shapes, and your own drawings in the document, even easier than in the desktop version! More serious users will be happy to know they can add headers, footers, page numbers, and footnotes with a simple tap. Still, writing equations is seriously over-simplified as you can only write and hope the app recognizes what you're trying to do.
You can check the document you created for spelling errors. Dictionaries for many languages are available for download right from within the app. You can view the document in different ways and do almost everything you can do in the desktop version. It's a great app and it's definitely one of the best ways to view and edit a document on your mobile phone!
